Since 1975 I have undertaken all aspects of Carpentry and Joinery

Mainly as a sub contractor or in a freelance capacity from general carpenter in my earlier days, to project management, of individual one-off, bespoke projects, and custom built design craft works, both commercial and residential.

This work includes Shuttering, and 1st fix, and 2nd fix, and finish carpentry and joinery under both workshop and 'insitu' conditions in my own premises workshops, and in commercial workshops for various companies.

The additional skill acquired as a Designer Craftsman, coupled with 25 years + hands-on experience gives me greater versatility which allows for innovative solutions in the pursuit of client satisfaction. My experience giving greater assurance and efficient working practises that lead to projects to be completed within budgets and schedules.

Most jobs have required working in close cooperation with Architects and all the other various building trades including Bricklayers, Electricians, Plumbers etc, as well as Carpenters, I normally coordinate the building program with these other trades in my capacity as Foreman/Lead carpenter and as my experience has taught me, wherever possible in a hands on capacity.

I demand high standards in all aspects of the work from the safety of personnel, to the quality of workmanship. Having a first hand understanding of problems encountered by trade colleagues is essential, promoting, efficiency, team spirit, communications, and amicable working practices between myself and other trades

High profile projects include: - BBC, the conversion of the then East German Embassy, The Cadogen Hotel, Fleming’s Hotel,  as well as works carried out on both grade 1 and 2 listed buildings such as The Houses of Parliament and Canonbury House in Islington, London.
